 Attractions:
Shrewsbury is a historic market town which features 660 listed buildings in its centre. Amongst those buildings, the town boasts several timber framed houses examples from the 15th and 16th century, Shrewsbury Castle, a red sandstone fortification and Shrewsbury Abbey.
Events:
Shrewsbury is also renowned for hosting one of the oldest horticultural events in the country: Shrewsbury flower show. Shrewsbury has won several awards; it is famous for its floral display.

In Shrewsbury, some pubs are built in very old public houses: the Dun Cow, the King's Head and the Golden Cross which is the oldest pub of the town. The Golden Cross was established in 1428.
